Our adrenalin fuelled whitewater adventure takes place on the raging dam released river that feeds Bala Lake making it a true whitewater experience whatever the weather!

Upper River
The upper river is a grade 3+/4 river. The minimum age for the upper river is 12.

White Water Rafting Full Session - Groups

Experience the trip of a lifetime on one of Britain's most exciting rivers. Each raft holds a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 7 people plus a raft guide which leaves no reason for anyone to miss out. The rafting experience will give you a chance to work as a team, all needing to work together to control your raft as it glides down the rocky fast flowing white water rapids.

White Water Rafting Full Session - Individual

This session is aimed at individuals or small groups. We will endeavour to fit you into another existing party. Each trip down will offer new and exciting challenges as you become more confident and your guide becomes more determined to get you wet!

White Water Rafting Taster Session - Individual

Tackle the classic upper Tryweryn rapids in an action packed hour, completing 2 runs of the river. This session is great for individuals and small groups.

Paddle Day

A Paddle Day includes a morning on Bala Lake having a go at Kayaking and Canoeing then travelling up to the National White Waters Centre for 2 runs down the wild rapids of the river Tryweryn.

Lower River
The lower river is a grade 2-3 (with one grade 4 rapid). The minimum age for the lower river is 10.

Rafting Safari

The Rafting Safari includes travelling up to the National White Waters Centre for a 6km river journey down the lower Tryweryn. Tackle rapids and portages, surf waves, bounce off boulders and enjoy fantastic wild river scenery through the beautiful lower Tryweryn Valley.

If there is no dam release available on the date you have requested we will offer you alternative dates. (Bookings are not definite until confirmed as such by email). All whitewater rafting is subject to a water release by the Environment Agency. The Environment Agency don't guarantee any water release dates, but typically the wetter months have more water releases.
